Dr. Caracioni sees his patients as more than just their conditions – he sees individuals with unique needs and concerns that deserve a higher level of care. His approach seeks to treat his patients not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually as well. He completed his medical education at Timisoara Medical School in Romania; completed his residency at both the Department of Internal Medicine at Arad County Hospital, also in Romania, and the Department of Medicine at Meridia Huron Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio; then finished up with a fellowship at the Division of Bone Marrow Transplantation, Oncology and Hematology at St. Louis University. Aside from his passion for helping patients, he loves to travel the world and experience the wonders of different cultures.

Dr. Caracioni is amazing! I met him yesterday during my appointment, and though the news he shared wasn't good or too bad, I loved his presence. He's bubbly, super friendly, and wickedly intelligent. This is the kind of person everyone wants when they go to the hospital!

Dr. Caracioni has been my oncologist since I was diagnosed with cancer. I feel extremely fortunate that he was chosen as my doctor. He is a brilliant physician besides being a kind and caring human being. He always made me feel as if I really mattered and he’d listen to what I had to said. Plus he always explained things in a way I could understand. I appreciate him very much!

Just a wonderful Doctor and his PA and nurses everyone , just amazing . For the type of news Dr. C has to give I can only imagine the difficulty of being so kind, compassionate , but he is and it's not an act ..Dr. C is amazing .. Also with his collaboration with KU Med has made it easy to coordinate treatments as well ..
