This single session class is open to any expectant parent interested in delivering at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus. In this class, you will learn how to diaper, bathe, swaddle, and use calming techniques to soothe your baby. This class includes what to expect at the health center and what to expect with a newborn the first few weeks after they are born. Discover techniques that will help you build a stronger bond with your baby. Learn about the golden hour, skin-to-skin, infant massage, baby wearing, and developmental play activities to do together.

Classes are located at the St. Francis Campus, 1700 SW 7th St., in the second floor classrooms. Exact classroom will be provided upon registration. Easiest access is to park in the West Parking Garage and take the skywalk across to the second floor. Public access at the skywalk is currently unavailable, but a staff member will be at the entrance to conduct Covid screenings and let you in for this class. Masks must be warn at all times while in our facilities. Please arrive early; as the doors close promptly at the class start time to ensure there is time to cover all pertinent information.
