I saw Dr Aftab for the first time yesterday after not having a PCP for over 3 months. She was well worth the wait! I’ve had a string of poorly effective, uncaring and out right neglectful Drs. The health (so called) care system in Topeka KS seems to be sorely lacking. Dr Aftab was truly a breath of fresh air. I have multiple health issues and we could only cover a few of them. I feel we will have a productive partnership for my health care needs. Thank you Dr Aftab for restoring some of my faith in Doctors.

First, I had NO wait after I was questioned by nurse in the examination room. During my initial visit with Dr. Aftab, she was pleasant, to the point, and thorough. She went through my medical conditions and reviewed my medications and made corrections and additions. She explained a condition that I suspected and why I did not need treatment, but that she will keep an eye on it. She explained her treatment options for my arthritis joint pain, and is sending me to some rehab. She directed me to a program for help starting a healthier diet. She listened to what I said, and she took time to make sure I heard and understood. She had me set a 6-month follow-up appointment at the desk. I am very pleased to have found Dr. Aftab to help me now that age seems to be bringing on more problems. Finally, I must comment that over the past two years I have been very unhappy with My Chart which is used by both St. Francis and Stormont Vail. After visiting with Dr. Aftab, I checked My Chart again and feel that that my information is finally mostly correct on that site. And the office staff there seems kind and willing to explain things to me and answer questions. So I have hopes of being able to use My Chart better in the future.
