Dr. Hu has been my physician for 7 years and is simply amazing. She’s cordial, knowledgeable and really listens to my needs as a patient. I actually look forward to visiting her (except maybe when I’ve gained a few pounds… just kidding she’s firm but no judgement) and HIGHLY recommend her. I’ve also seen Allison a few times and like her as well. Rachelle is genuinely awesome and she always provides answers and insight promptly.

From start to finish, my experience with this facility was fantastic. The bedside manner of Dr. Hu is phenomenal. She also has a great staff of nurses working with her.

On 8.15.21 I was transferred from Topeka ER Hospital to University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus. I was diagnosed with a serious infection in my right foot that required an amputation. Dr. Hu met with me right away and laid out a plan for surgery and her strategy to save most of my foot. She was professional and direct, and she projects a confidence that made me believe that everything would work out for the best. I was prepped and in the OR less than an hour after I was admitted She performed a guillotine procedure to remove my right great toe. The wound was not closed, but it was cleaned, packed, and a vac tube was attached. The entire procedure lasted approximately 30 minutes. Throughout the week, Dr. Hu and her associates would make regular visits to observe any change in my condition. The following Wednesday (ahead of schedule) Dr. Hu performed a second procedure that involved debridement of tissue around the wound, and the removal of some of the bone in the ball of my foot to allow the wound to close more easily. Then she applied sutures to the wound. Bother surgeries were successful and I was released on Friday 8.20.21. Before that, Dr. Hu worked closely with the hospitalist and the infectious disease doctor to develop a plan of care Now I am taking a series of strong antibiotics and getting follow up care in my home. I was incredibly impressed by Dr. Hu's knowledge, bedside manner, and incredible skill. She was direct, but sensitive. She confidently outlined her plan, and made me aware of the risks. She advised me of what would happen if the infection returned. I can not recommend her highly enough. If I ever require another surgery that falls within her areas of expertise, I will do whatever I can to have her as s my surgeon.

Met Dr Hu at 2am prior to an emergency surgery for a twisted intestine. Cannot say enough good things about her. Would rate her 10 stars if I could
