Presentation: Traveling/Convenience Store Snacks

Speaker: Sara Tams, MBS Clinical Reviewer at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus General, Vascular and Bariatric Surgery

More about Sara Tams:

Sara is the bariatric clinical reviewer for The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus. Her main job is to maintain follow-up records on all bariatric patients throughout their postoperative journey. She makes contact with patients to schedule their annual postoperative visits and labs.

Sara is a gastric bypass patient herself, having had surgery in November 2019 and, to date, has lost more than 160 pounds. Sara says, " I know firsthand how rewarding (and sometimes frustrating) the journey is and I am so excited to be working in a field that I'm very passionate about. Post-op care is of the upmost importance and I'm thrilled to be a part of our bariatric team and our support group meetings."

With the holidays quickly approaching and many may find themselves traveling, Sara will be discussing ideas on how to stay on track while traveling.
