Dr. Brant Smith specializes in pain management, helping patients find relief from acute and chronic pain. With a focus on non-opiate conservative treatments and cutting-edge procedures, he strives to maximize his patients' function and enhance their quality of life, getting them back to the activities they enjoy, free from the burden of pain.

Dr. Smith offers a wide range of interventional pain management techniques. Some of the procedures he offers to address pain-related concerns include: epidural steroid injections (both interlaminar and transforaminal), facet joint injections, medial branch nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), large joint injections, bursa/myofascial injections, spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trials, and the management of pelvic pain.

His academic journey began with an undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, followed by a Master of Science degree from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Smith further his skills through completing a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital within Northwestern Medicine in Wheaton, Illinois followed by a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Dr. Smith's commitment to the field of pain management was influenced after seeing how chronic pain affected one of his family members holistically and the difference pain management had on their quality of life.  This personal connection, his desire to provide compassionate care along with the staff and patient first culture drove his decision to join the St. Francis Campus Pain Management Center.

In his free time Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing golf.
