Akiko Rockers, PA-C, MHS, is a certified physician assistant specializing in general surgery. With a deep-rooted commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care, she plays an essential role in supporting patients through every stage of the surgical process. Akiko believes in the power of clear communication, teamwork, and precision, working closely with the surgical team to ensure seamless care—from preoperative planning to intraoperative assistance and postoperative recovery. Her approach is grounded in trust, empathy, and a holistic understanding of each patient’s unique needs.

Akiko earned her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelor of Health Sciences from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She is an active member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Surgical Physician Assistants, staying connected to the latest advancements and best practices in her field. Drawn to healthcare by a desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives, Akiko finds purpose in helping patients navigate complex and often emotional health journeys. For her, every procedure is more than just a technical task—it’s an opportunity to bring healing, comfort, and hope.

Akiko is a proud lifelong Jayhawk and graduate of the University of Kansas. Outside of work, she enjoys baking—a hobby that allows her to express creativity and share joy with others.
