About Elizabeth Wolfe-Meyer, MD
Dr. Elizabeth Wolfe-Meyer, MD, is dedicated to serving rural communities and bringing high-quality, evidence-based care to these areas. Having grown up in Nortonville, Kansas, she was born at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka and received her childhood care from Dr. James Rider, a physician in Valley Falls. Returning to work in the rural clinic where she grew up, Dr. Wolfe-Meyer brings her expertise and commitment to improving mental health care access, providing excellent obstetric and prenatal care, and co-managing conditions with specialists to enhance patient outcomes.
Dr. Wolfe-Meyer earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and completed her family medicine residency at the Southern Colorado Family Medicine Residency in Pueblo, Colorado. She is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She sees patients of all ages, from prenatal care and newborns to end-of-life care, focusing on treating the whole person. She believes in helping patients adjust their lifestyles and manage stress to maintain overall health and happiness.
Dr. Wolfe-Meyer is passionate about womenโs health and pediatric care. With additional training in these specialties, she helped develop policies and procedures to improve preventive care adherence in patients of all ages. Additionally, she is dedicated to addiction medicine, helping individuals progress in their recovery journeys. Believing that everyone deserves access to health care regardless of their location, Dr. Wolfe-Meyer leverages her expertise in virtual and telephone consultations with specialists to provide specialty care in her clinic for patients who are unable to travel.
In her personal life, Dr. Wolfe-Meyer loves to dance and is incorporating it into her fitness routine. She is also passionate about music and books. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, playing games at home, going on trips, or being outdoors with their dogs. Excited to return home with her family, she proudly embraces her roots as a Jayhawk fan and graduate of the University of Kansas Medical CenterโRock Chalk!
