About Ariel Chung, MD
Dr. Ariel Chung is a board-certified family medicine physician with a passion for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based and compassionate care to individuals and families. With seven years of active-duty service as a physician in the U.S. Army, she brings a broad range of experience in both military and clinical settings. Her care philosophy centers on building strong patient relationships through active listening and clear communication to support long-term health and well-being.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine with honors from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College, a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Cornell University. She completed her family medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a focus in obstetrics.
Chung has a special interest in women’s health and provides full-scope family medicine. She values the opportunity to care for patients through every stage of life and prioritizes patient-centered care that is responsive to an individual’s unique needs.
From 2018 to 2025, Chung served as an active-duty physician in the U.S. Army. She was a family medicine attending physician at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Cavazos, Texas, and a field surgeon for the 546th Area Support Medical Company, 1st Medical Brigade. Most recently, she served as a staff physician at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas, and as a field surgeon for the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. In both roles, she provided full-spectrum primary care—including obstetric services and procedures—for active-duty personnel, military families and retired service members in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
