About Derek Fritz DO

Dr. Derek Fritz is a family medicine practitioner with a strong commitment to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care while recognizing the importance of the patient as a whole individual. He values each patient’s unique values and barriers and strives to serve as their advocate and a bridge to medical knowledge, empowering them to lead happier and healthier lives.

Dr. Fritz is a graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and earned both his master’s and Doctorate of Osteopathy from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. During his medical rotations, Dr. Fritz had the opportunity to work at the health system’s St. Francis campus, where he experienced first-hand the dedication of the staff and the focus on patient-centered care. Inspired by his experience he made the decision to begin his career in family medicine at St. Francis where he continues to provide compassionate and exceptional medical care to individuals and families of all ages.

Outside of work Dr. Fritz enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, playing with their dogs, watching movies, snowboarding, and playing both board and video games.
