About Abhishek Chakraborti, MD

Dr. Abhishek Chakraborti is a fellowship-trained pulmonologist and critical care physician with expertise in a broad range of advanced pulmonology procedures and interventions. His extensive training enables him to manage complex cases while delivering the highest standard of care. Committed to providing compassionate, individualized care, Dr. Chakraborti ensures that his patients feel heard, supported, and valued throughout their healthcare journey.

He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. Dr. Chakraborti completed his internal medicine residency at One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in New York, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Rutgers Health, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. Inspired by healthcare role models from an early age and driven by his passion for biology, Dr. Chakraborti pursued a career in medicine to combine science and technology with compassionate patient care.

Dr. Chakraborti’s medical interests include lung cancer, obstructive lung diseases, and intensive care services. He specializes in a variety of procedures, including bronchoscopy with advanced interventions such as navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), cryotherapy, and endobronchial valve and stent placement. He is also proficient in VV ECMO management, vascular access, ventilator management, percutaneous tracheostomy, and various catheter placements.

In his free time, he enjoys cooking, exploring global cuisines, and traveling. Dr. Chakraborti is fluent in Bengali, Hindi, and Kannada.
