About Jessa Kennedy APRN

Jessa Kennedy, ARNP, WHNP-C has a wide range of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, including routine prenatal care, high risk pregnancy, postpartum care, routine gynecological exams and outpatient procedures.

Jessa received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fort Hays State University in 2004. During her early nursing years, she worked as a labor/delivery/postpartum nurse. The majority of her career has been focused on women’s health. She earned her master’s degree in nursing and became a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) at the University of Cincinnati in 2010. In 2022, she joined the Women’s Center at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus after previously working as a WHNP in Thornton, Colorado.

As a patient, you can expect to be treated with empathy and compassion, as trust and rapport are important foundations in any patient-provider relationship. Jessa is passionate about patient education, health prevention, and promotion, as well as serving and advocating for women and families in our community.

Jessa and her husband, Mike, both grew up in Kansas and have two active young boys. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys working in the yard, engaging in DIY projects, and attending her kids’ sporting events, which include baseball, football, wrestling, and golf.
