About Manidhar Lekkala MD

Dr. Manidhar Lekkala is a dedicated oncology and hematology specialist at our Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India. He then completed his internal medicine residency, serving as Chief Resident, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center/Strong Memorial Hospital in New York.

Dr. Lekkala provides expert care for patients with a wide range of cancers and blood disorders, including clotting and bleeding conditions. He has a particular interest in treating breast and lung cancer, with a strong focus on enhancing patient outcomes and quality of care. “I find great fulfillment in supporting cancer patients when they need it most. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team is incredibly rewarding, as every team member plays a vital role in a patient’s journey.”

Outside of work, Dr. Lekkala enjoys traveling and watching movies. He and his wife, who is also a physician, share a passion for medicine and patient care
