Dr. Raazia Aftab is an internal medicine specialist providing primary care services, including routine checkups, preventative care, chronic disease management, women’s health, bone health and weight management. She also provides school and sports physicals. Dr. Aftab received her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed her internal medicine residency at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Dr. Aftab takes special interest in obesity medicine, women’s health and preventative care. 

When asked about her work, Dr. Aftab says, “Talking to my patients, reassuring them and answering their concerns is the best part of my job. “

A native of Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Aftab has a husband and a very energetic toddler. A self-proclaimed avid black coffee drinker, Dr. Aftab enjoys hiking and spending time with her family and friends. She also is passionate about giving back to her community. She volunteers at clinics and actively participates in community health events.

I saw Dr Aftab for the first time yesterday after not having a PCP for over 3 months. She was well worth the wait! I’ve had a string of poorly effective, uncaring and out right neglectful Drs. The health (so called) care system in Topeka KS seems to be sorely lacking. Dr Aftab was truly a breath of fresh air. I have multiple health issues and we could only cover a few of them. I feel we will have a productive partnership for my health care needs. Thank you Dr Aftab for restoring some of my faith in Doctors.

Dr Aftab is a compassionate caregiver. She gets right down to business during your visit and spends the perfect amount of time. There was no wait time for the visit. Check-in was very fast.
