Dr. Juan Carlos Geronimo is a board-certified general and thoracic surgeon with advanced expertise in both cardiac and thoracic procedures. His clinical focus includes coronary revascularization, thoracic aortic aneurysm repair, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. He is dedicated to helping patients achieve better outcomes using innovative surgical techniques that support faster recovery and improved quality of life.

Dr. Geronimo believes in providing compassionate, patient-centered care. In his practice, he works closely with patients and their families to offer solutions that restore heart and lung function while minimizing the physical and emotional impact of surgery. He performs both cardiac and thoracic procedures, with a special interest in minimally invasive lung surgery, coronary bypass procedures, and valve replacements.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Dr. Geronimo earned his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. He completed his general surgery residency at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center, followed by a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Albany Medical Center. He then completed a cardiac surgery aortic fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Dr. Geronimo is a native Spanish speaker and values the opportunity to care for patients from diverse backgrounds. He grew up playing baseball and basketball and continues to enjoy following both sports. He also enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures.
