Dr. Akhtar is absolutely the best.

I don't feel that hears what I say. It's like he has decided on my diagnosis before talking to me.

Dr Ahktar spent time to discuss what was working and not working with the cpap. We are at a point where there is no definitive answer or one fix to the issues. He is patient and listens to all my concerns and questions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I did not feel that the doctor really tried to understand my concerns. His opinion seemed to be that the world only functions during daytime hours and that people should sleep at night, whereas my previous provider, understood that you must have people in the world who are "night people" in order to make the world function. I did not care for the approach that this provider had at all to my sleep apnea problem and would never recommend him to anyone!

Dr Akhtar speaks softly. Sometimes hard to hear him, even with hearing aids.

Dr. Jamal Ahktar is the best physician I have had that spends time listening to my concerns and explains my treatment thoroughly. I never feel my concerns are dismissed, as other physicans have done. I never feel that the doctor is trying to rush out of the room. I value him as my physician.
