The written order of a licensed healthcare provider is required to perform all tests.  Most insurance plans are accepted. Please bring your provider orders and insurance card(s).

What to expect at our outpatient lab

Healthcare providers may order a lab test as part of a patient’s diagnosis or treatment. It’s crucial to follow any specific instructions, such as fasting or avoiding medications, in the days leading up to the test. Please consult your physician or nurse for guidance on how to prepare for the test.   You should have your insurance card(s) and physician’s order with you at the time of your test.

Once your laboratory tests are complete, you can access the results through MyChart. Your provider will then review the results with you and discuss any necessary next steps.

After hours and specimen drop off are handled at the hospital’s main laboratory open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to perform specimen testing. The main laboratory is located at the ground level adjacent to the emergency department. You will be directed by your provider should you need to visit the main laboratory.
