TOPEKA, KAN., Oct. 25, 2023 –The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check mark for Primary Heart Attack Certification.
The health system’s St. Francis Campus underwent a rigorous, onsite review on Aug. 29 and Aug. 30, 2023. During the visit, a Joint Commission reviewer evaluated compliance with related certification standards including program management, clinical care delivery, clinical information management and performance measurement. Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. The reviewer also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
